Subject: RE: Boy Scout letter asking for volunteers
Could you pass the following letter on to your scout master for me:
As you may know, The Friends of the Trumbull Library sponsors several book sales throughout the year to raise money for the Library. We rely on volunteers to help with each of our nine monthly book sales, but need significantly more help for our four-day Annual Sale scheduled from November 6-9.
The set up for this sale will begin on Saturday and Sunday, November 1st and 2nd. Our Annual Sale, involving over 15,000 books means the unloading of the two PODs containing over 350 boxes of books. If your Troop is looking for a Community Service Project, or if individual members of the Troop are looking for Community Service hours, we would greatly appreciate your help. We begin setting up tables and other display materials around 10 am and continue throughout the day. Our biggest need for help is Saturday morning when we do the set up and unloading of the boxes.
If you are looking to make a worthwhile commitment to the Trumbull Community, your efforts at our sale will provide you with this opportunity. The residents of Trumbull and many surrounding communities welcome our efforts, and we will be happy to publicize your involvement in this endeavor.
If you are interested in helping us, please contact Alissa Heilbrunn at arh258 at hotmail.com<mailto:arh258 at hotmail.com> or 261-7904.
Snacks and lunch are provided both Saturday and Sunday for anyone volunteering 4 hours or more.
Yours truly,
Alissa Heilbrunn,
Volunteer Coordinator
