Hello Parents
As most of you know, the Pasta Dinner is coming up fast and the money we
raise goes to offset the cost of the boy's high adventure trips. One of the
biggest sources of funding for the boys comes from the ad sales. We sell ad
space in the Pasta Dinner Advertiser's booklet in 1/4, 1/2, and full page
ads. We charge $30 for a 1/4 page, $50 for 1/2 page, and $100 for a full
page. Michael Card will send around an electronic version of the ad form to
fill out for each advertiser.

The ad sales are getting a very slow start this year and Troop 68 needs your
help. We really need a little help from everyone. If you haven't done this
before, don't be shy, most people are quite willing to help out if you ask
them. Think of what businesses around town you frequent and see if you can
get just a few ads (even 1 or 2 would be great). I have attached the list
of advertisers who have placed ads in the last few years to give you some
ideas, but most if not all of these are already covered. The person listed
in the "Rep" column is the person who will go after that particular
advertiser. What we need form you is to think of some new potential
advertiser's and seek them out for ads.

I am certainly no salesman and it is hard for me to call people and ask them
to advertise, but I've signed up for a bunch and if you all try to make a
few sales, I'll bet the campaign will be a huge success.

Good luck and let me know if you have questions.

Thank you,
Phil LaMastra
(Mike's Dad)
