[Troop 68] Camporee Info./Eagle Project

Hello Everyone,

This past weekend, we were able to see where we will be running the camporee next month.  We also did a sufficient amount of planning.  Here is the list of who is running what, so far:

Backpacking Equipment: undetermined (we need volunteers)

Wilderness First Aid: John Valus, Chris Ronnow (having more people would be preferable)

Map and Compass: Tom Valus, (having a more people would be preferable)

Short Backpacking Trip: Kevin Garber, (having a more people would be preferable)

Color Guard for opening& closing: Tim Ladyko, Tyler Rapillo, Nick Rapillo, Chris Ronnow, Kevin Garber, D.J. Marazita

Campfire MC's:Tom Valus, D.J. Marazita

Scouts' Own Service: undetermined (we need a volunteer)

Scavenger Hunt: Chris Ronnow, Ryan Dunn

If you have already volunteered for something, please begin to prepare soon; the camporee is only about a month away.  If you are not running anything, please consider your options.  Please tell me at the meeting this Friday what you would like to do so that I can best accommodate your requests.  Remember that everyone in attendance will be running a station.  The sooner I am informed of the station you would like to run, the more likely you will get that station.  

On a different note, I will be working on my Eagle Project this Sunday, September 20th at the Beardsley Zoo From 9:00 A.M. until we finish installing the pond.  Lunch will be provided.  Please bring your own water and work gloves.  Please send me an e-mail if you plan on attending so that I can make an accurate estimate on how much food I will need.
